Print: Le Blond - LB 45, CL 20 – Le Blond never gave this print a title and ‘The Sisters’ was attributed by Courtney Lewis for his 1920 book.
There are four prints on the complete sheet – this print (LB 46) "Actæon and Diana," (LB 47) "Nearly Ready for the Bath," and (LB 48) "The Grape Lady." This is strange as The Grape Lady is considered one of the rarest of Le Blond subjects along with the Sisters yet the other two subjects are relatively ‘common’. They were all printed with a black border with ‘Yds’ and ‘£’ below the subject and were intended to be used as fabric labels. This border is then cut off when Le Blond issued them on his mounts. I have never seen a complete fabric label
