1411 Love's Messenger

Print: Le Blond - LB 51, CL 24 – The print shows a young lady holding a Pidgeon or dove and attaching a message to it, presumably to take a message to her lover hence the title given to this print by Courtney Lewis in the 1920’s as Le Blond himself, along with the other prints from this sheet, omitted to give them a name.

It is one of the illustrations to "The Historical Pocket-Book, Diary and Almanack," for 1852.

For some reason this and the others from the same plate seem to be a lot harder to find than other Le Blond small prints
