Print: Le Blond – LB 30, CL62 - Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, the Prince Consort, are seen walking in the grounds of Windsor Castle which can be seen in the distance. At Prince Albert’s hand is probably the future Duke of Edinburgh and Saxe-Coburg Gotha and later King Edward VII. Four other royal children play in the background. This print is part of a Triptych, Her Majesty at Balmoral, Windsor and Osborne. Currently I have copies of all three in stock
On the very lower right hand side, and hardly noticeably, is a rubber stamp stating Published by G Baxter… this is a stamp applied to many Le Bond prints in the 1920’s trying to pass them off as a Baxter.
