Print: Le Blond Baxter LB 152 - Baxter original published this as CL 349 in 1857

 

In 1924 Courtney Lewis described the print as “A little damsel is depicted leaning out of a casement, and, with a saucer of bread and milk, trying to persuade a doubting robin to be caught and enter a cage. 
 

The lack of Baxter’s signature and the fact that it is slightly trimmed to the bottom, removing Le Blonds signature, confirms this is by Le Blond
