Print: Baxter - CL 322 - Published in a very rare pocket book Suttaby's The Sovereign for 1855 and also separately by Baxter. The print is an illustration of the fictitious St. Ruth's Priory, which features in Sir Walter Scott's book "The Antiquary", and is taken from a painting of Arbroath Abbey by H. Melville which Scott used as his model for St Ruth's Priory.
This was printed from eleven blocks and originally sold at 6d.
