Print: Baxter 135 - Queen's Floral Needle Box Set. 
 
These ‘large’ prints were produced for the lids of the larger boxes that held the 10 small boxes containing sewing needles and were called by Baxter "Flowers - one group" and shows nasturtium, convolvulus, roses, and other flowers.
 
Although these were printed on one sheet containing this print for the outer box, the ten small needle box covers and three mid sized prints for the lids of boxes containing two or three small boxes I have yet to see any of these prints on an actual needle box. That is strange as other sheets printed around or after that date are regularly found BUT this set can be found in parlour scrap books which were very popular at that time. Perhaps the needle box industry didn’t want to buy the full sheet of fourteen mixed prints and hence Baxter found this alternative market.

On the mid right in small print is "G. Baxter, Patentee, 11, Northampton Square." Printed on the top is "The Queen's Floral needle-boxes," and below "Illustrated by G. Baxter, Patentee of Oil Colour Printing." 
 
Printed from a steel engraved plate and nine blocks and originally sold at 6d.
