Mcintosh was gardener to the King of the Belgians at Claremont, and then to the Duke of Buccleuch at Dalkeith. Baxter produced prints of both Claremont and Duke of Buccleugh residence 10 years after this print was published
Above the print is the title and underneath is "Cypripedium Calceolus," "Dendrobium fimbriatum," "Dendrobium Moniliforme"; and then "Printed in Oil Colours by G. Baxter (Patentee), 3, Charterhouse Square."
