Print: Baxter CL 330 – Published in Suttaby's Le Souvenir pocket book for 1849 and also separately by Baxter
The print shows the Normandy town on the Somme with the church of St. Vulfran on the left. The engraved steel plate states "Printed in Oil Colours by George Baxter, Patentee, 11, Northampton Square, from a Painting by H. Grillen
This was one of my earliest purchases and has been in my collection for the last 35 + years
Date: 1847
Size (cm ht x w): 7.2 5.4 (print) x 22 x 17.21 (frame)
State: On a Blue Lined Mount as issued by Baxter, over mounted in grey and cream in modern aged gilt frame
Condition: Good colour with very light spotting, please see images, excellent mount and frame
