Print: Baxter - CL 322 - Published in “The Sovereign for 1855” and also issued separately by Baxter. St Ruth’s Priory features in Sir Walter Scott's book "The Antiquary", and is taken from a painting of Arbroath Abbey by H. Melville.
When on a sealed Baxter mount the print is upright oblong and dome shaped with a gold border but smaller and square topped when used in the pocket book
Size (cm ht x w): 10.2 x 6.9
State: Unmounted with gold border which is most probably an original Baxter mount that has been trimmed. The print came with a gold then cream square over mount which is available, please let me know if required when you order.
Condition: A couple of very minor surface spots else very good
