Print: Baxter CL 334 – The view is taken from the landing- place at Fluelen, looking towards Tell's Chapel. On the steel plate Baxter calls this View in Switzerland. Said to after a painting by Turner but this is yet to be proved.
Signed on the path, in the centre, "Published June 20th, 1857, by G. Baxter, Proprietor & Patentee London,"
The print was produced from a plate and twelve zinc blocks, and was originally sold at 10s. 6d

State: Stuck onto modern card
Condition: General toning mainly to the sky but near impossible to find a Baxter version that isn’t the same, perhaps it was the paper or inks that he used. Slightly faded, please see images, priced accordingly.
