Print: Baxter - CL 326 – Used in the pocket book by Suttaby, Poole's London Annual Depository for 1850.
The title of this print is an old Venetian song. It is sometimes called by Baxter "The Gondoletta," and sometimes "The Gondola in Venice."
An oval print, with square border, of a gondola on the Grand Canal at Venice, with the city in the background. In the bottom plate margin, in the centre, is the title, on the left is "Baxter's Patent Oil Printing, 11, Northampton Square," and on the right is "From a Painting by C. Vacher”.
