Signed bottom right, "Printed in Oil Colours and Published by G.  Baxter, Patentee, 11, Northampton Square," It shows King Edward VII when he was a boy of about eight, dressed in sailor costume, landing at Osborne, where Queen Victoria had then recently acquired a home.  The ribbon on his hat denotes his ship as the Prince of Wales.  The fleet is in the distance.
