The well-known abbey is seen in the distance overlooking the river Wharfe. In the bottom plate margin, in the centre, is the above title; on the right is "From a Painting by C. F. Buckley, Esq.," in two lines; and on the left is "Baxter's Patent Oil Printing, 11, Northampton Square," in two lines. Although Courtney Lewis doesn’t mention this but there is in fact 2 versions of this print, this smaller print issued specifically for the pocket books and altered (or original) plates where the impressions are a good 1 cm taller Date: 1847 Size (cm ht x w): 5.5 x 9.3 (image) 7.4 x 11.2 (sheet) State: On full page as issued in the pocket book with full lettering Condition: Some light toning to the edges else excellent
