Summer Time - Half light, half shade, she stood (736)


Print:  Le Blond Baxter – LB 151 Original issued by Baxter as CL 367 in 1856. When it was taken from a picture by Edward Corbould.  Apparently inspired by Tennyson''s poem   "The Gardener''s Daughter" Sometimes called "Gathering Roses."  The lack of Baxter signature is sufficient to credit this as a Le Blond Baxter.

Date: Circa 1868

Size (cm ht x w): 14.8 x 10.5 (Print) 30 x 25 (Frame)

State: Unmounted print overmounted in cream with artistic gold border in modern gilt frame

Condition: Slightly faded but still very appealing in particularly attractive framing, always a sort-after print
